Sculptors & woodworkers
& Manu Lerendu
We are Benoît Vauthier and Manu Lerendu, French woodcarvers and woodworkers based in the Vosges moutains (France).
We met seven years ago on the school benches of the Institut québécois d'ébénisterie in Canada. Our common passion for contemporary creation prompted us to collaborate on competition pieces. Since then, we have continued to develop a unique signature which combines art, design and expertise. We draw our inspiration from the power and the poetry of the great mountainous or marine spaces to develop furniture with clean lines inviting to reverie and contemplation.
As craftsmen, we shape our projects and our sculptures entirely by hand in our workshop. We use almost exclusively local woods, selected from the surrounding sawmills.
